Princess Diana

        In the summer of 1981, Diana and Charles fulfilled one of their most important royal duties. The princess became pregnant with a little baby boy. During her pregnancy, the press hounded her even more than usual, adding to the difficult time. People were obsessed with the idea of a royal baby. Finally, on June 24 of 1982,Diana gave birth to a little prince. The country welcomed baby William Arthur Philip Louis, the future King of Wales. The royal family and the nation were elated.

       The time following William's birth was some of the happiest in Diana's life. She loved being a mother, just as Charles loved being a father. The two were determined to give little William an amazing childhood.
